Message sent by Houdou from the students in Hamilton MSA

On behalf of the Muslim student community at McMaster, MacMSA is deeply appreciative of the support Ansar Foundation has given us in the past few years

Each Ramadan, we host daily Iftar and taraweeh for hundreds of students, as well as a variety of Islamic, social, and educational programming. This year, we welcomed upwards of 600 students at our highest-attended Iftar. With the help of Ansar Foundation, we have fed over 200 students in Ramadan over the weekends and we will be able to host our Eid event this Tuesday (March 24), providing a much-needed sense of community to students, especially those living far from home.

With a Muslim population close to a third of the student body, Ramadan and Eid is a time for us to both support Muslim students and spread information about Islam within the university, neither of which would be possible without the support of our sponsors such as Ansar Foundation. We pray that Allah swt places barakah in all those who strive for His sake and to continue to strengthen the Canadian Muslim community

Dear Ansaar Foundation Board and Donors,

This message is to share deep gratitude for the Iftar meals provided to McMaster University students throughout this Ramadan.

Your generosity was felt most significantly during Eid when you provided 120 meals for Eid celebration. For many students with families in different cities or across the globe, being away from home during such a sacred time can be difficult. By providing these meals, you offered more than just food; you provided a sense of belonging and a reminder that they have a supportive community here.

This support means a great deal to the students and helped make their holiday truly special.
Thank you for your continued kindness and for making the community feel like home for them.

With sincere appreciation.
