Domestic Violence is any attempt by partner in any kind of relationship ( marriage, living relationship, heterosexual and in same sex ) to dominate and control the other. An abuser uses all traits such as fear, shame, intimidation, insult to keep you down.

A beautiful poem written by Mr. Shafiq Baig. Mr.Baig is a poet and a writer, having written over hundred poems which were highly recognized by many government elects MPs, including The Right Honorable Prime Minister of Canada and Her Majesty The Queen.

Domestic violence

Expectation- Hopelessness
Failing to understand life
Some blame it on husband some blame it on wife
Some erupt – some suffer in silence
It is called domestic violence.

Learn to recognize one’s fence
Life is full of tests and turbulence
Strike on it together – not on each other
It is like sailing in the sea
Sometimes smooth sometimes rough
Resolve issues amicably even if they are tough

Two birds together, I have never seen them at the rage
They chat – agree and disagree
But never become wild
Maybe they have seen humans going to court
Getting their case filed
They have learned a lesson from our mistake
But we humans do not – even if our life is at stake

Learn to live together with mutual love and care
Try to make others realize when they are not fair

A self-created curse is called domestic violence
Find cure in this poem, do not suffer in silence
